Description:
The 44th collection of Liszt's complete piano works is a collection of "vocal transcriptions". Among the vast amount of piano music Liszt left behind, a series of arrangements are particularly unique, and in this album, we can hear interesting arrangements for piano of songs by contemporary composers as well as Liszt's own songs. Except for Liszt's own compositions and one piece by Chopin, the names of the original composers are not even known, and some of these arrangements have left their mark on later generations. Recorded in January 2016. (C)RS
