Androu Gourlay was born in Jamaica, studied conducting at the Royal College of Music in London, and won the first prize at the 2010 Cadaques International Conducting Competition. This album is Gourlay's own concert piece of the orchestral highlights of Wagner's "Parsifal," seamlessly following the original story from prelude to finale and arranging the music for each scene, with slight adjustments to allow the instrumentation to connect naturally.
